The source photograph was from some article, again I couldn't tell you where it was from or or what it was about or who these guys were or what they were doing (Spinal Tap should write a song about them). Somehow it took on a kind of post-nuclear apocalypse feel and so a line from the King Crimson song "Epitaph" came to mind; from this the title was taken. The line (courtesy the Pete Sinfield lyric) goes:

"Knowledge is a deadly friend if no one sets the rules

The fate of all mankind, I see, is in the hands of fools...."
