While many of the zerographs pulled things from magazines or printed advertising for raw material, sometimes I'd use more original sources. In this case the source was my hand, forearm and jacket. It illustrates beautifully one of the things I've been asked most about the zerographs- "Aren't they just like copying or tracing then?" Unless you think my hand really has no wrist and floats above my forearm, you can now clearly see the answer to this question.
The title was intended to mirror the surrealist content of the picture and so of course means nothing at all. Unless you treat it like a koan:
Q: But will the armadillos land in Texas?
A: They're already there.
